Our life the last couple of months.....

Okay so I have been really lazy as of late as far as keeping my blog up to date. So let me just catch you up. Dylan and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary on February 4th and to do so we took a trip to the happiest place on earth, Disneyland. We brought Aspen with us and she had fun, plus my mom and dad, aunt, uncle and cousin joined us. It was a blast.

After that we had a couple of fundraisers for Levi, my brother who is fighting colon cancer. We had a benefit dinner where there was an amazing turn out and then the next week we had a fundraiser at Chick Fil A, where 20% of the receipts in the 3 hours we were there went to my brother and his family to help them out.
In the process of all of this Dylan's dad was still fighting off leukemia. I believe it was the weekend of the Chick Fil A fundraiser that he was put on to a ventilator. Things were just not looking up in his favor, his health just kept getting worse. On February 27th Dylan's dad passed away. It was a very hard and emotional time for all of his family. The next week was busy with plans for the funeral and lots of family coming into town. Needless to say we had fun with all of the family gathered together during this hard time. March 6th was when we had his dad's funeral and it was a wonderful service. It was very uplifting and was a time to celebrate his dad's life. His dad touched many peoples lives and he will be missed dearly by so many but especially by his family!
Later that day we got to witness my oldest niece, McKenna get baptized. We are all so proud of her and excited for her as well.
A couple of weeks later the entire DeShazer family and some of my family got to go and see Mary Poppins, the broadway play. Loved, loved, loved it. Steppin' time was by far my favorite performance because of course they were tap dancing. It made me miss it so much. I am hoping to get back into it soon though. The choreography was awesome though. I know the choreographers had to of had so much fun putting together those routines. So I would definitely recommend it if you haven't already seen it.
As for me I am 31 weeks pregnant and can't believe that in a couple of months I will be blessed with another child. We are very excited about having another little girl and hoping that Aspen will adjust well. I've been attempting to potty train Aspen and it's easier said than done but hopefully she will pick up on that as well.
I can't believe how quickly this month has gone by. The last couple of months have been fun and yet very emotional and hard for us as well. Dylan's family is doing good but I know it gets harder and harder as time goes on. I just can't thank everyone enough for all of the love and support we have received during these hard times. I keep saying, when it rains, it pours, but we are so amazingly blessed in our lives!

Oh Holly, I'm so sorry, I never heard about Dylan's dad. That must have been so hard for you, I give my love to you guys, I wish I could have been there, to do something for you. I'm glad to hear the fundraisers were a success. I think and pray for Levi and Kelsey all the time. It looks like everything else is going pretty good, I hope you're feeling better as you get farther along. Hopefully you hold off on the tap dancing until AFTER you have the baby :) But I'm excited for you! Miss you!
